Parking is available on-site, but we encourage car sharing during peak periods to help manage space.
We have changing rooms and a toilet at XtremeWake, with additional facilities, including toilets, showers, and changing rooms, at the main Grendon Lakes clubhouse.
Light refreshments, including hot and cold drinks and snacks, can be purchased from our reception. If you bring your own food, please enjoy it after your session and remember to take any rubbish with you.
If you're in the mood for an alcoholic drink after your session, the Grendon Lakes clubhouse has a fully licensed bar. Please note that alcohol, drugs, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on XtremeWake premises.
Grendon Lakes is a hidden gem in Northamptonshire, nestled within 150 acres of picturesque countryside. The complex boasts 12 lakes, with three dedicated to watersports, while the remaining nine are home to some of the best fishing waters in the area, along with camping and glamping opportunities.
The campsite offers a no-frills, rural experience, perfect for those seeking a simple camping experience. It features grass pitches (which can be muddy in wet weather) and a free toilet and shower block. Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, you must be able to swim at least 50 metres while wearing a buoyancy aid.
Can I participate if I'm pregnant?
Unfortunately, pregnant individuals cannot take part in activities but are welcome to watch from the lakeside.
What is the minimum age to participate?
For the aqua park, participants must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult (over 18). For SUP and wakeboarding, the minimum age is 8.
Do you offer group discounts?

What footwear is acceptable?
Footwear is not required for the aqua park or stand-up paddleboarding.
Are helmets and buoyancy aids mandatory?
Buoyancy aids are required for all activities, and helmets are only necessary for cable wakeboarding.
Do I need to wear a wetsuit?
No, but rental wetsuits are available. Otherwise, suitable swimwear should be worn.
Can I wear fancy dress?
No, this would conflict with our health and safety policies.
Can I wear jewellery, goggles, or glasses?
Jewellery must be removed. Goggles and glasses can be worn but at your own risk, as they may get lost or damaged.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within this period will result in forfeiture of payment. For cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance, we can reschedule your session or offer a 50% refund.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your session starts to allow time for equipment distribution and the safety briefing.
What happens if it rains or there are thunderstorms?
Sessions continue as normal in rain, as you’ll be getting wet anyway! In the event of a thunderstorm, all activities will pause until the storm passes and it’s safe to resume.
What happens if I’m late?
We cannot accommodate late arrivals, so please plan your travel accordingly.
Do you have changing rooms and showers?
We offer limited changing rooms. Shower facilities are available at the lake complex and accessible to XtremeWake visitors.
Do I need to book in advance?
Advance booking is recommended to secure your preferred time. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, but please dispose of your rubbish properly. Alcohol is not allowed on XtremeWake premises.
Are lockers available?
Yes, we have limited lockers on-site.
