Health and Safety 

The health and safety of all our visitors, customers and participants is always of the highest priority for the team at Xtremewake 

Watersports Activities can be hazardous and all customers (if under the age of 18 their parents/guardians) must accept that there are risks when participating in the water sports/activities.  

Customers must comply with all safety and general instructions given by the company and its staff.  

Health 

Customers must be in general good health & must satisfy themselves that the activity they are doing is within their ability. When booking individuals/parents/guardians must make a true & accurate declaration of their/the customers health & must highlight any medical conditions they have which may impact on their ability to participate 

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or activity participation on medical grounds. 

Safety Equipment 

All cable wakeboarders are always required to wear a buoyancy aid and helmet, boats tows a helmet is option but recommended. All users of the aqua park and stand up paddleboards are required to wear a buoyancy aid. All safety equipment is provided by Xtremewake and is included in the price. 

Medical Attention 

The customer agrees to allow basic First Aid to be administered by a staff or by a qualified medical practitioner and in case of a medical emergency for a medical practitioner to provide emergency treatment and/or medication. 

Behaviour & Damage 

Customers are required to be considerate towards others and the company’s neighbours, keeping noise levels to a minimum. If the customer or any member of their party is behaving in such a way as to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, the company reserves the right either for the safety of staff or other participants to remove the person from the activity if necessary. Failure to obey instructions given by our staff, then the customer will be liable for the full amount of repair or replacement and any resulting costs. Staff and/or the duty manager reserve the right to terminate the session. Adults will at all times be responsible for minors in their charge. No refunds will be given. 

Insurance 
Our policy provides full cover for the equipment and cables and third party liability cover for our staff. However we cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage to any customer or their property or equipment, other than through our negligence or breach of contract or for damage, and we recommend that you have appropriate insurance cover yourselves, your possessions and equipment. 

Postponement 
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel sessions at any time without prior notice, for example due to adverse weather conditions or any circumstance beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation/rescheduling, customers can choose to attend an alternative session or to have their session fee refunded in full. 

Safeguarding

It is the policy of Xtremewake Limited to:
• Accept the moral and legal responsibility to implement procedures to provide a duty of care for young people, safeguard their wellbeing and protect them from abuse
• Respect and promote the rights, wishes and feelings of young people
• Recruit, train and supervise their employees and volunteers so as to adopt best practice to safeguard and protect young people from abuse, and themselves against allegations
• Require staff and volunteers to adopt and abide by the BWSW ‘One Voice’ Safeguarding Policy which incorporate the British Water Ski & Wakeboard Code of Ethics and Behaviour
• Respond to any complaints about poor practice or allegations of abuse for the purpose of this policy anyone under the age of 18 should be considered as a child and all Club members should be aware of this policy.

Good Practice
All members of Xtremewake should follow the good practice guidelines attached to this policy. Those working with young people need to be aware of the guidance on recognising abuse.

Xtremewake will seek written consent from the young person and their parents/carers before taking photographs or video at an event or training session or publishing such images. Parents and spectators should be prepared to identify themselves if requested and state their purpose for photography/filming. If Xtremwake publishes images of young people, no identifying information will be included.

Any concerns about inappropriate or intrusive photography or the inappropriate use of images should be reported to the Club Welfare Officer immediately
